This encounter led to her impactful recording of the song, which subsequently won widespread acclaim on YouTube. The stars are definitely shining on Dana Gillespie right now as she has been accepted to perform at the world famous SXSW Festival in Austin,Texas, and so in March she will be taking her British musicians to perform songs from her 73rd double album which was recorded ‘live' at the Temple of Art and Music on her 73rd birthday, in London. One of the tracks she will be performing is ‘Andy Warhol’, the song that David Bowie wrote for her, as well as her European hit called ‘Move Your Body Close To Me’. She will also be talking about her colourful life to coincide with the release of her memoirs called ‘Weren’t Born A Man’.
