What's On At The TAM
Ironmongers' Hall is the historic home of The Worshipful Company of Ironmongers, which is one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. The company received its first Royal Charter in 1463, although its origins can be traced back to the 1300s.
The Ironmongers' Hall is the company's third hall, completed in 1925 after the previous hall was destroyed during the World War I. Located in Shaftesbury Place off Aldersgate, it is built in the Tudor style with elements of 17th-century architecture and is one of the few City halls to have remained on its original site.
The hall, designed by Sydney Tatchell, features a notable collection of 16th-century ironwork, as well as a courtyard and garden. The interior includes several rooms available for hire, like the Banqueting Hall, Drawing Room, Court Room and Luncheon Room, each traditionally decorated and equipped for a variety of corporate and private events.
